Borderlands #3

Anton, Kit and the Watch...

Galtman brings returns bearing several members of the watch. The man in charge of the watch group, a Lieutenant, listens to both sides as they present their case. (As posted by the various sides.)

After considering for several moments, the lieutenant will say.

"As I see it", he says looking at Anton, "you have no case. No one saw her take the ring, not even yourself. The fact that she did not simply flee with the ring in her possession, and that she did return it without any trouble seems to imply that she truly did find it. Simply put, you cannot proof that a crime DID occur. You got your property back. No harm done."

As the Lieutenant will turn as he prepares to depart the Inn.

"But, let me serve you both a warning for future reference."

Speaking to Kit:

"Elcadan frowns on those who steal from others. The Baron has an eye for an eye policy. If you are caught stealing, one of your fingers will be cut off. One finger for every offense. We find that policy tends to curtail thievery. I would also strongly advise departing the premises right now."

"And to you sir, do not be so quick to judge others. Bullies are not appreciated in Elcadan. Good day."

Right after the watch depart, Nightshadow dashes through the Inn and up to her room. For some reason she is topless!!

Einar continues his conversation with Anton.

"I know many of the goblin clans in the Broken Lands. Which one do you seek?"

He'll also find the terms of employment to be to his liking.

The receptionist at the Wizard's Guild gives Argent and Victor the information on the Guild.

(Any other mages going to the Guild will be told the same thing.)

The Guild is open to wizards of any race or alignment. (Although guild membership may be refused to the undisputedly evil and to those who would pervert the guild to their own ends.)

Membership fees are high, but the benefits many. Cost is 100 gps per year.

Guild members have a discount on items purchased at the guild. The guild also carries an extensive stock of items needed to cast certain magical spells.

The Guild has several research laboratories that can be rented out for weeks at a time.

The Guild stocks and maintains a Magic Shop. They buy and sell magic items.

The greatest advantage is the Library. This huge area contains many tomes on the nature of magic. More importantly, huge quantities of spells are in the library.

Guild members can buy Spells out of the spell library. This is VERY expensive!

There is also an alchemist employed at the Guild.

The last area of interest is the Wizards Familiar, a in-Guild tavern for mages only.

Applicants to the Guild will be tested. The tests serve to make sure the prospective applicant is a true mage. No Bards allowed!

Information sharing with the Guild is strongly suggested. How much your discount is proportional to how much you do for the Guild! ;)

Brana goes to see Fenwick. The shop is a two-story building that appears on the verge of collapse. The inside of the shop appears just as bad.

Fenwick is assisted in the running of little shop by most of his eleven children. He asks 5 gold to take care of the tack.

When asked about sages, Galtman will say, "There is a savant here in Cross Town. His name is Omar. He may be able to help you."

Directions are provided. Additionally he will tell Brana that most shops in Elcadan handle specific goods. There are no "general stores". So he'll need to know what goods you are looking for before he can tell you where to go. :)

The priest at Heironeous' Temple accepts Jordane's tithe.

"Much thanks, brother."

After listening, the man will reply, "There is in fact a Priest that may be able to help you out. His name is Cereld. He was preparing for a journey down towards the swamp anyway. We've been hearing tales of strange going on's in a village near the swamp. He was going to investigate. Assist him and I'm sure that he'll assist you in return. Is it a deal?"

(A note on Priests: Priests of Heironeous are more combat orientated then average priests. They do have healing powers. Priests of Azrella are the best healing priests there are. Their levels add to their healing rolls. However, they are extremely weak in combat.)

SUBJ: Maroshe FROM: Roxell 05/03/93 S#: 465354

As she promised, Maroshe is none to happy at getting another person in their mission, but she realizes the need for healing and let's him join.

"If that's all your business here, Jordane, let's get moving." She smiles. "Any more of this city life and I might begin to wilt!"

Once outside, Maroshe breathes a sigh of relief and sends Nutmeg (the owl) ahead to scout out the path ahead of them. While hiking, she spends her time playing on a small wooden flute to Tiny and Nutmeg.

SUBJ: Kaylin TreMayne (and Co.) FROM: Kaylin TrM 05/04/93 S#: 487116

As the rider leading another horse passed the town gates, she heaves a sigh. "Well, we finally made it to Elcadan, kids. If Blackie here hadn't developed that slight strain we would have been here yesterday but..." She pats her mount's neck fondly while from on top of the packs of the second horse, two cats gaze curiously about and one mews in seeming agreement.

After asking directions once, they arrive in front of the inn. The rider climbs down and stretches. She plucks the tabby cat off the pack horse and places her on the saddle she has just vacated. "You keep watch over BlackMane and Juliet, T'ang." Then she swings her duffle bag and lute case over one shoulder and lifts the smaller black kitten onto her other shoulder where he digs his claws into the reinforced padding. "C'mon, Geordie!"

Inside the inn, she finds the innkeeper who introduces himself as Galtman. "Greetings, good innkeeper. I be Kaylin TreMayne. I hear you have a goodly crowd staying here but I hope you have room for one, well, one plus two, more?" She smiles pleasantly. Galtman, having dealt with all sorts of ruckus already today, probably is not much troubled by one small well-behaved kitten? She arranges for a private room and wash water to be waiting upstairs, then goes out to see to the horses.

After quickly looking about the stable, Kaylin leads them to a large box stall. (I hope?) One at a time, she heaves the two packs off the pack saddle, stacking them and the tack from both horses in once corner of the stall. She grins companionably at the stable boy who comes to help. "Now Juliet here is a lady but watch out for BlackMane. He can be, er, difficult." At an unseen tap on his side, the black horse stamps his forefoot and tosses his head. "So I suggest you run to get water and grain and let me give them a quick rubdown." The stable boy does as instructed while Kaylin takes care of the horses. "I'll do a proper job later, kids, but I have some places I need to visit today first."

After the horses are settled, Kaylin re-gathers her equipment and kitten as the grey tabby bounds ahead into the inn. They go upstairs where Kaylin washes up quickly and pulls on a clean tunic and breeches, tries to put her curls in some sort of order, and gives her boots a quick dusting. She settles the silver cat amulet over her head and checks that the papers she wants are in the bag. Then the trio heads downstairs again.

She asks Galtman for directions to the temples of Helm and Mystra and about the local sages and such. She thanks and tips him then heads out.

Kaylin will check in at the temple of Helm, pay her respects to whoever might have time to see her, and meditate. She then will likewise visit the temple of Mystra. At both temples she will ask about sages and info and such.

SUBJ: Anton (R) FROM: GM Feral 05/04/93 S#: 496735

grabs his heart in feigned pain. "Oh how you wound me with your farmland wit! Yes, Victor, best you leave. This dear woman is protecting you, and I hope she is gone before she decides to call me a tomato!" ::laughs::

SUBJ: Victor (R) FROM: GM Shifty 05/04/93 S#: 523933

Victor sweeps Anton a gracious bow, "Well, the Watch has made my point for me. I never claimed your ring had slid off. I just questioned how someone could have taken it off without your feeling it done. If you would care to learn the aspects of true intellectual debate, you may find me here for my evening meal. I hate to see any man walk around unarmed, even if it is only for a battle of wits."

"One last thing before I leave, it was unwise too bring up the subject of parentage. Someone less understanding of the foibles of the intellectually ungifted than I would probably see the need to call you out on such a matter of honor. You would be wise not to fall into such troubles with opponents you know nothing of. You will also find people feel more kindly towards you if you refrain from casual insults."

"Good day to you, signor."

Turning to the halfling, "And you, signorina. If you have not set your heart upon following after this unmannerly oaf, perhaps you might look me up tonight. I may have a job for someone with the correct talents."

With that, Victor follows Argent out the door.

At the Mage Guild, Pad reaches into his pouch and drops a gem on the table. "I would like to apply for membership. When would you like to set this test for?"

SUBJ: Argent (R) FROM: Enchantres 05/04/93 S#: 520915

Argent merely grins at Anton's replies. Victor causes her to break out in laughter!

'Come, Victor. It's certainly getting deep in here. We cannot possibly withstand such insults. How can we compete with one who has the intellect of a turnip?' ;D

On the way out, we pass the woman with the kittens.

'Oh! They're so cute! I just love kitties. May I pet her, please?' :D

I nod me understanding to the terms at the mage guild.

'Sounds good to me. I'd like to apply. Can you pay your dues years in advance? There's a few magic items I may be interested in selling also.'

Hmmm... load's of us gals around here... Perhaps we should form our own group! ;D

SUBJ: Nightshadow FROM: Nghtshadow 05/04/93 S#: 465761

A topless Nightshadow enters the Inn and hurries back up to her room, mindless of any stares directed her way. There she dons a robe, then returns downstairs.

She goes to Galtman and asks for another bottle of Arabellan Dry wine and pays him then returns to her room. She stays there till mid-afternoon, when she finally comes down again fully dressed, carrying an extra set of clothes and heads for the Bath House.

After returning from the refreshing bath dressed in a silver tunic and breeches, she drops her dirty clothes in her room, then comes back downstairs.

Sitting at the bar, Nightshadow asks for a mug of Arabellan Dry wine and a couple apples. She sits there sipping her wine and munching on the apples, while listening to the various conversations in hopes of picking up some information that might interest her.

She notices the newcomer with the kittens as she looks around the Inn, then turns back to Galtman.

"My good man, may I inquire as to the whereabouts of a Temple of Ehlonna, as well as some good Elven shops in this fine town? Also a place to launder some dirty clothing?" asks Nightshadow.

SUBJ: Jubal Harshaw (R) FROM: FatalCharm 05/05/93 S#: 478559

As Jubal and Brana ride towards Old Town to the Wizards Guild, Jubal strikes up conversation. "Brana, when you mentioned avoiding the others, you brought up something I agree on. It seems there has been a convergence of 'adventurers' to Elcadan. I too consider my business, our business, to be private business. I value my privacy highly. For instance, when I am involved in my studies and research I wish not to be disturbed. Your privacy will be respected likewise. If I do something that pertains to our joint venture, I will fully inform you, and I expect likewise. Other than that, your business is your business."

After listening to the receptionist at the Guild, Jubal will immediately pull out his purse and plop down 100 gp worth of Platinum. "Here are my first years dues. I am ready for my 'testing' now if it is not a lengthy process. If it is a lengthy process though, than I would much rather return early on the marrow, as I have business elsewhere today."

"And as far as sharing information goes, my conquest is one of information seeking and research as well as a salvage operation of sorts. It would be more than a pleasure to share all of my research with the guild for permanent storage in your great libraries. Other than myself and my companion/s, only the Guild will be allowed publishing rights to my research. That is agreeable to me."

Also, Jubal will get directions through the tower to the "Magic Shop" and inquire as to whether they might have a 'Murlynd's Spoon' that they would be willing to RENT out to him. He doesn't wish to pay the full price of buying one as he only wants it for his short range journey. IF they have one, but will only sell not rent, then Jubal would consider buying it IF the discount is a good one AND if they would take partial payment with the rest to be paid at a later date on his return.

After they leave, "Well, Brana, it seems they have no one here to provide us with more info on the land we seek. Shall we go see Omar now?"

(Jubal and Brana's meet with Omar will be done through Email please. We will probably both have questions, but you can send the answers to either of us and we will Super-Q it to the other.)

SUBJ: Kaylin TreMayne et al FROM: Kaylin TrM 05/05/93 S#: 517622

(Just a note: T'ang is a full-grown black/tan/grey tabby cat. Geordie is a gangly, long-legged adolescent kitten. T'ang is female and Geordie is male. They both wear little braided metal collars. (Sorry to bore you all... they MADE me put that in... :))

Kaylin pauses as Argent greets her. "Well, that is up to them... cats love to be chaotic, of course, sometimes very standoffish and other times friendly as can be." She smiles, meaning no offense by her words. "This one on my shoulder is Geordie. And that's T'ang sniffing your boots."

She bids Argent and her companion good fortune, then continues indoors to prepare for her outing as specified in my previous post.

SUBJ: Update: (R) FROM: GM Mad 05/05/93 S#: 425720

Galtman will tell Kaylin that he only has 1 double room left. Although, he suspects that a private room may be opening up. He has no problems with the cats.

The Temple to Helm is located here in the Cross River area. Mystra's Temple is in Old Town.

When Nightshadow asks about a Temple to Ehlonna, Galtman will say that he's heard tales of one in the forests to the east, but no exact location. As the patron of the forests, Ehlonna's temples are always located in forests.

(I'm not quite sure what you meant by an elven shop. Elves primarily do not share their goods with other races. You'd need to go to an elven town or village to find a shop aimed exclusively at elves.)

A laundry serve is close by. It costs only 1 gold per set of clothes. They can be picked up next day.

Argent, Victor and Harshaw will be given the admittance tests right away. Each test is given privately.

The first step is a general discussion with a panel of three guild members. On the panel this day is Kieren, the Guildmaster, Konrdadis, the proprietor of the mage shop, and the Lady Jallarzi Sallavarian.

The opening questions concern the basic principals of magic. They are easy enough for you, but will serve to feed out those who are not true mages.

The last step is simply the casting of a magical spell. You are asked to remove all magic items for this purpose. This is to make sure that you are casting the spell and it is not being invoked from a magic item. A non-combat spell is highly desirable for this!

Argent, Victor and Harshaw have no trouble passing these tests. Each will be asked how many years in advance do they wish to pay their dues.

Afterwards, a tour of the Guild is given so that you know where everything is. You all note that a force of dwarves serve as the guards of the guild.

At the magic shop, you'll meet the head of the shop, Konrdadis, the mage of exchange. The mage is the type of person who easily bores others.

The Magic Shop buys and sells magic items. Since this is a Mage Guild, those magic items primarily associated with mages are rarer then other items.

Items are not lent out, especially to brand new members! Everything is cash and carry.

Harshaw will find the Guild does have a Murlynd's Spoon in stock. It has an asking price of 4400 gp's.

Kaylin's cats seem to like Argent and they purr contentedly when she pets them. They seem to shy away from Victor, however.

Talk will reach you ears that the wizard Drakkimor is putting together an adventuring party. Rumor has it that he is setting out to explore the ruins of a castle once owned by an Enchantress who consorted with demons. All skill positions are being considered. Interviews are being held at the Marksend Inn, also in the Cross River area of Elcadan.

The adventurer Dar is also looking for adventurers. According to rumors, he and a small party came across a lost temple high in the mountains. His band was attacked by giants and forced to flee. He's gathering a larger party to go back and defeat the giants and explore the temple.

There are also the usual offerings for caravan guard duty. ;)

SUBJ: Jordane FROM: Kromagnus 05/06/93 S#: 430525

"I gladly accept your generous offer. We will be setting out this afternoon. I hope that is not too soon but we are anxious to investigate this matter. For now we are off but we will return to meet with Cereld before we leave.

Walking out of the temple, Jordane returns with Maroshe to the inn. Making a final check of his gear and equipment, he heads back out of the inn and goes back to the temple to meet with Cereld. Upon meeting Cereld Jordane says, "Greetings! Are ye prepared for our journey?" After Cereld is ready, the party will leave the city and begin their journey to the village near the swamps. Gazing at the clear blue sky, Jordane says "Fine day for travel. We should be there in no time if it stays like this. If I may ask what is the nature of the predicament

the village is facing?"

SUBJ: Interest (R) FROM: Kitterina 05/06/93 S#: 424678

Kitts eyes light with curiosity.

"Gee, someone thinks I have talents? I wonder what talents he's referring to."

As Kitt is thinking about Victors statement she sees a woman walk in with a kitten on her shoulder and runs over to take a peek, forgetting all about Anton and the episode with the ring.

SUBJ: Anton FROM: GM Feral 05/06/93 S#: 398208

before the guard leaves, "Sir, I want you to take particular note of this kender. For if she stays here in town, undoubtedly more people will be coming to you about missing items."

"And you, ::scowls at the kender:: stay away from my belongings in the future."

To Victor, "You speak of honor sir, but I see you fail to defend your own. You say good day. I say good riddance."

Anton will then meet with Einar, and finish his plans for his expedition.

SUBJ: Gilana FROM: Schar 05/07/93 S#: 437483

The dwarf is somewhat disappointed that the halfling didn't try to run for it. Pity. I could have used the 100 gold.

The judgment of the guards does not matter to me either way.

I'll hang around the Inn for most of the day, waiting for a job to come along. (Come on, Kaylin! ;D)

I nothing turns up, I'll hunt down this Dar and apply for his group. Fighting giants can be so much fun! ;D

SUBJ: Kaylin TreMayne et al FROM: Kaylin TrM 05/07/93 S#: 446004

Kaylin is not too particular about her room as long as it is clean and tidy and these are. (At least I have heard nothing to the contrary. :) She tells Galtman with a smile that, while she would prefer a private room, a double will be more than adequate.

To anyone with a desire to pet cats: as Kaylin told Argent, it is up to the cats. :)

Later Kaylin returns from the Temple of Mystra deep in thought. When Galtman has a free moment, she will ask, "I notice you attract a large number of adventurers with your convenience to those travelling. Would any of them happen to have mentioned being in the market for work?" (I know, Gilana, but Kaylin only arrived this morning? :) "I find I have an errand to run out of town and could use a bit of assistance. Although I daresay a goodly number of them already have plans..."

As long as Kaylin is in her good togs, she will make a tour of some of the Crosstown Inns. Partly she is interested in getting a feel for the town, partly she wants to check out the local bards and minstrels, and partly she is putting out the word... If in the process she passes a traveler's provisioning shop, she will check out prices.

(I suspect these plans will fill most of the afternoon and probably part of the evening. Also, I don't know if Mad's next update will fall in the afternoon or summing up the day so... in case I don't get to mention this later:)

Before retiring for the night, Kaylin will personally tend to her horses, giving them a thorough rubdown and post-trip checkout. She will spend part of the evening in the common room of this inn and if there is a bard or minstrel performing tonight, Kaylin will happily exchange tales if he/she (or they) is so minded.

SUBJ: Sir Harshaw (Jubal) (R) FROM: FatalCharm 05/08/93 S#: 440282

At Jubal's "test" he begins to lecture at length the concepts behind the art of Alteration, taking what is, and changing it into what is, but wasn't. The most beautiful of the arts, unlike SOME schools of magic. After a bit he suddenly quiets and looks around. "Sorry. Sometimes I feel like I should have been a teacher. But I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Anything else you would like me to tell you?"

When it comes to the practical test, Sir Harshaw is very wary about having to remove his magical items. His sword is extremely valuable to him, as are his other items. And as he reluctantly grasps his Ioun stones from the air around him, he thinks with disappointment that he is going to have to study a few of his spells all over again tonight. But, Oh well, what must be done, must be done.

As he looks around the room, trying to decide how to demonstrate his magic skill, he notes with pleasure that the room of the tower they are in is not only far off the ground, but contains an open window.

He grins at the council and waves. "See you later" he calls as he runs and dives head first out the window. But thanks to his Feather Fall spell, he floats gently to the ground. Then, he decides, he might as well not march all the way back up when he can return much the way he left. So he casts "Fly" and returns to the room through the same window he left to immediately collect his magical belongings.

Jubal tells Kieren that he expects to settle here and would just as well pay them well in advance for his membership dues, but because of his present financial status and expected expenses he has coming up, he will pay only one year down now.

He ends his tour at the Mage Shop as does the boring Kondradis. Jubal first enquires about the Spoon. When he hears the price he laughs heartily again and says, "I'm sure I can carry some rations with me. Thanks anyway. I will return." He then leaves without looking at any of the other stuff thinking to himself [What a discount]

On a final note, Jubal finds it peculiar that the guild's "Guard" consists of puny little dwarves. Especially since they make lousy wizards. Except for those silly illusions they seem to have a knack for. It makes him wonder whether there is something special about 'these' dwarves which he doesn't know about.

Rememorize spell list as was that night.

Upon returning to the Inn, Sir Harshaw and Brana note that the Mercenary, Gilana, is still looking for someone to join up with. "She seems to keep to herself more than the others." Jubal whispers to Brana. "I know we hate to split up our findings further, but its better than finding ourselves dead. Maybe we should bring her along with us. There is likely to be a lot of nastiness to battle where we are going."

After they discuss it privately for a bit, they nod to each other in agreement and Jubal gets up and walks over to Gilana. "Pardon me ma'am. If you are as good a fighter as you proclaim, maybe you would like to join Brana and I on our quest. May I sit?"

Jubal sits down to discuss their proposal with her (email), then tells her to take the night to consider it if she wishes, but they would prefer to have their answer in the morning if possible.

SUBJ: Nightshadow FROM: Nghtshadow 05/08/93 S#: 434283

Nightshadow listens to Galtman as she sips the wine, thinking it adequate but would prefer a large skin of Feywine, along with a man and stay in her room for the remainder of the day and all night. She sighs as she knows it is not to be without the Feywine so as to lose herself and let the man take full advantage of her in her drunken state as had happened many wonderful times in the past.

She'll then ask how far it is to the nearest Elven village or town is from Elcadan.

She thinks she may soon remedy that and wonders when she returns if she

could lure one of the men to her room for an evening of fun, if any are still around worth luring to her room, then thinks about the olive skinned gent(Victor) and sighs.

After Galtman finishes talking to her, she goes upstairs to her room and comes back down with some clothes and heads for the door.

At the door, she will stop and utter an insult the Dwarf's way about her parentage in Elvish, then walk out the door without awaiting a response from the Dwarf, and head for the nearby Laundry Service.

SUBJ: Brana... (R) FROM: Gh0stRider 05/09/93 S#: 419352

...will come down to await Jubal on the morning after her first night in the High Road...

She seemingly ignores the drama of the Ring being played out in the common room... staying in the background... but marks well the participants... especially the Dwarven Warrioress' eagerness at a chance to make a few skunkolians (or whatever)... & stores it all away in her "nice to know" information file...

While she is killing time, she will ask Galtman several things...

First, would it be possible for Jubal & her to board their mounts & store their tack at the High Road for about 3 months?... & if so, what would be the rates?... & if not, could he recommend a place where they would get comparable care?...

Next, she will ask the whereabouts of a Tinker... she needs to get a Camp MessKit to replace hers that was lost...

Then, the location of a dealer in Leather Goods... she needs a bag/valise...

Lastly, the directions to the Temples of Azrella, Istus, Mystra, Olidammara, Tymora, & Selune...

(Religious... ain't she?... ;D )

Paying close attention to the poor InnKeep as he runs down all this & filing IT away to be acted upon ASAP... she will thank him... slide 5 GPs across the counter for his "trouble"... & sit down to breakfast to await the Talk with Jubal already discussed...

When he arrives, as well as what's gone before, they will discuss the feasibility of trying to recruit an eager acolyte from the Temple of Azrella to accompany them...

She will see about this while He sees Galtman about seeking out a... .. .

Once they begin their "rounds" for the day, she will ask Jubal's forbearance as they swing by the Laundry... where she will leave all her spare clothing... asking if they will deliver it back to the High Road...

Then, it's On to the Mage's Guild... where an unforeseen problem presents itself...

Shre will pay the 100 GPs for a year's membership & let Jubal go first for the "test" while she thinks...

She had not counted on being required to divest themselves of ALL of their Magic before the test... a serious oversight on her part...

...keep her Council 'til she is alone with the Interview Board for the test... .. .

(Assuming everything went OK)

She will tell Jubal she has several errands to run before they can meet to seek out Omar... & now's the time for him to take care of anything he needs to... as well as getting started on the "division of labor" they agreed to that morning at breakfast...

Once she's off, she will stop in at Fenwick's & accept his terms... & ask for her Tack to be delivered to the High Road... if possible...

Then it's on to the Tinker's for the Messkit... the Leather Works for the valise... & the Temple of Azrella...

There she will see whoever is on duty, &, after offering a prayer & a "donation" of 20 GPs, ask for advice on how to put together a Healing/First Aid Kit...

She will want to stock it in case of wounds, "accidents", stings, bites, & disease... & will try to get the ointments, herbs, powders, salves, bandages, etc There, if possible...

(If NOT... then get directions to where & take care of that immediately upon leaving)

She will be glad to follow their recommendations to the letter paying whatever they ask to buy from them... trying to build "goodwill"...

(This will all go in the Valise)

However this works out, she will then ask to see the HPiC (Head Prelate in Charge) & inquire if they have an eager, zealous acolyte who wants to get in some Field Experience & earn the Temple a possibly tidy sum...

She will offer the HPiC 10% of anything they clear with a possible bonus for service "above & beyond"...

If he seems interested, she will ask to interview whoever he recommends & also offer to let him visit the village of his choice on their way back... to proselytize, make house calls... whatever... attempting to be as agreeable as possible...

If all goes well, terms are agreed to, & he/she seems competent & of good caliber, she will ask the Acolyte to meet them on the morrow at the High Road for Breakfast...

After taking care of any loose ends left of the above... she will proceed to the Temples of her gods (in the order of importance given), to pray for their favor & good will in her endeavors... & make an offering of 25 GPs at each... ... custom of Brana's...

(She IS religious... ;D )

THEN, it's on to meet Jubal for the Interview with Omar...

At the Savant's, she will ask... .. .

(Mad... Mail Coming)

The entire time she is out & about in Elcadan, though she will waste no time or motion, she will pay close attention to her surroundings... observing... & remembering... Anything that Might be of interest (or Odd) she sees... or Hears... for later possible follow up...

She will be "learning" the City...

Anything she Does note... along with everything she did... goes in her Journal every night... written in her own "personal" code...

Galtman would probably mention Gilana's interest in employment so Kaylin would head over to the dwarf's table. But then she realizes that another mission which is none of her business so she doesn't eavesdrop is going on. "Excuse me, Gilana, and Sir Harshaw (sp?). I did not mean to intrude. Perhaps another time?" And smiles politely as she leaves.

Well, if Kaylin is sitting down when Kitterina comes over, the cats might be anywhere in the common room. They like music and anything that catches their fancy. As for the other, "Please sit down..." Kaylin gestures across the table as her lute case is taking up the rest of her seat. Kaylin has undoubtedly heard something of the ruckus this morning so will be reasonably aware but still friendly. (Unless the cats get into trouble somewhere or are otherwise upset. Kaylin is very conscientious where they are concerned. "What do you think of Elcadan?"
